I don’t have anything but anxiety for you right now. Butterflies as I’m writing this. We have to be at the hospital Saturday for College Girl’s surgery at 7am. EEEK.

I promise not to bring the stones home…PINKY SWEAR…

I have had more surgeries than I can count on one, maybe two hands. I think I’m on my feet now. No complications, but I’m nervous none the less. It’s different when it’s your child. She’s had her wisdom teeth out and a cyst removed from her wrist, so she’s no stranger to the procedures. But she’s been in pain a long time. Months. The Grumpasaurus is ready to get this over with.

She’s been home since Thanksgiving waiting for this surgery. She’s been too uncomfortable and weak to go out with the few friends that are in town.

 (this pic is her self portrait from, I think,  11th grade?  She’d probably kill me for putting it out here…you know “I’m an artist, MOM, I didn’t know what I was doing THEN!”)

So what does a Grumpy Gallstoney Artsy girl do while she is waiting for the big day?

Make 6 1/2 sock monkeys.
Buy a book and read about book binding (couldn’t find the materials locally).
Teach herself to crochet.
Finish the Twilight series
Sew felt ornaments and felt stuffed animals.
Look at a the box of gingerbread houses and think about making them.
Begin the Harry Potter series.
Watch the HP movies…
Bake 3 dozen cookies.
Cut bangs.
Watch The OC on SOAP.
Watch One Tree Hill…on SOAP.
Watch The Hills…detecting a trend?
Watch Gossip Girl…yep…
Watch SCRUBS…OK, we like that…
Watch more Fox News than she would ever watch on her own.

I’m sure I’m missing something…Oh, yeah, not too sick to see Twilight the movie…twice.

Please say a prayer for her…I’ll be back when we are whining about the aftershock….
