When kids don’t can’t won’t share.

I know, mine are 15, 17, and 19. We could take the 1 off the front and you wouldn’t know the difference. It’s been fun having College Girl home with us over break, but when you are used to living on your own, it’s hard to come home and live with a Mom and 2 siblings. And vice versa.

She and Cute and Sassy have fought over who’s cereal is who’s, who’s milk is who’s, who’s tv show is who’s, which chair the cat sat in, which door is unlocked, which door should be unlocked, are horses dumb or wonderful, and who’s nicer.

She and the Big Guy just laugh together a lot.  He’s good for that.

College Girl was never the most tolerant person anyway. A testament to her strong willed personality. She was more right than I was. And that’s not easy. For instance I was wrong to use a tube of toothpaste that was in a bag on the counter. It had been there for a month or so. I assumed it was going nowhere or back to college, but it never moved. So when I ran out of my toothpaste, I grabbed it.

I guess the mistake was leaving it in the bathroom. You know, in plain sight. “I hope no one is thinking this is their tube of toothpaste because I bought it for me.”

I think you are going to tell me it’s not about the toothpaste, right? You may be right, but it actually may be about the stuff. She can have it back…it was vanilla something flavor and I didn’t like it. But she has more stuff than anyone I know. Except me. She doesn’t get rid of anything. Like me. She has clothes from 7th grade…like me.

I know what you are thinking.  She’s becoming her mother…LORD help her…
