Thanks to Bumble Bee Tuna I will be attending Blogher ‘10 with the other BeeSquad Ambassadors! It’s a fabulous opportunity to represent a brand that I truly believe in and LOVE.
Bumble Bee impresses me the more I learn about them. First for their commitment to healthy living and ending obesity with their alliance with the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation (HWCF) …. and also for their efforts toward sustainability.
You know, good things that companies can do and should do and this one does already….
Just an all around good company.
I eat tuna several times a week, always have…and love that it’s an easy meal/snack to fix.
You also know that I’m a “fewer ingredients the better” (lazy) girl, and so I want to share my quick dinner / lunch/ midnight snack/ breakfast if you have to…recipe…my fave, and you will love it too.
This time I’m using the Bumble Bee in the pouch. These are handy to take on the run…AND MAYBE I CAN HAVE SOME IN MY ROOM AT BLOGHER FOR A SNACK #justsayin
It’s so easy to toss on a bed of greens (your choice). Then I like to add about 1/4 – 1/3 can of white beans and top with ranch dressing mixed with some red wine vinegar.
I like to cut the dressings with a little extra vinegar because it reduces the calories and I LIKE VINEGAR *fishy lip face*.
Ok, so I’m learning to take fancy photos of food. By Blogher hopefully they will look good!
note: I am a brand ambassador for Bumble Bee Foods and receive information, products and other perks for participating.
Have you heard about the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation? It’s comprised of 60 retailers, food and beverage manufacturers who have joined forces to reduce childhood obesity by 2015. Concentrating on exercise and health eating, they are modifying products, packaging, and labeling to make it easier for consumers to manage calories while preserving or enhancing nutrition.
Some of the companies involved…
Kellogg
PepsiCo
Hy-Vee
Safeway
Nestle
Coca-Cola
Sara Lee
Kraft
…and the list goes on and on
One way that Bumble Bee is making this happen is the Bee Well for Life Program. There you will find workout tips, healthy eating, a breast cancer initiative and a community support forum.
Start logging in your Bee Well Miles today and join the road to a healthy lifestyle. Will I see you there?
I am the kind of cook who throws 5 ingredients from the cabinet together and makes dinner. You never know what might be in that cabinet or how that meal will end up.

I know, it scares my kids sometimes too….
Now that I’m working as a brand ambassador for Bumble Bee tuna I have had fun playing with their products and trying to come up with fun foods for my family. We eat tuna about 3-4 times a week anyway. And when I’m grabbing those ingredients for my 5 item dinners, often Tuna is one of the 5.
You probably know how to really cook, don’t you?
Do you have a favorite Tuna Noodle Casserole?? What is your recipe? If you have one on your blog, link it up!!
Looking for an easy lunch for school? Kids tired of the same sandwiches every day? What starts out as dinner the night before becomes a fabulous salad for the kids to take to lunch the next day. I love dishes that are good cold and hot.
This recipe reminds me of the dip we used to get at the Crab Claw in Ocean City, MD for the crab claw platter. The mayo/mustard mixture is great with any seafood.

1 box of your favorite noodles
2 cans Bumble Bee Tuna Prime Filet Tonno in Olive Oil
1 cup low fat mayonnaise
2 dollops of mustard (I use brown, but yellow is just as good)
Mix the mayonnaise, mustard. Drain one can of the tuna into the mixture and mix well.
Cook noodles to your taste. Add the sauce to the noodles. Flake the cans of tuna (drain the second one out) and mix well.
We serve hot in the evening and cold for lunch the next day. I also throw a bag of peas in there sometimes too, depending on how I serve it.
For something different, try Bumble Bee’s Prime Filet Atlantic Salmon instead of the Tuna. Both are great! Check out their Premium lines. I’m quite impressed!
Not a mustard fan? Try mixing the mayo with a thai peanut sauce. That’s fabulous too!

I love throwing things together to make a meal or snack. My kids think I’m nuts sometimes, but sometimes it works out.
Like this one. Bumblebee Sensations are flavored pack of tuna that (now) come in 3 flavors. Sundried Tomato Basil, Lemon & Pepper, and Spicy Thai Chili. They are great out of the can, or on crackers or a sandwich…
Or as we discovered great to cook with!
This week we tried Tuna Nachos. I need quick and delish. These fit the bill We used the Sundried Tomatoe Basil Sensations, Nacho chips, and Mozzarella cheese.

We used Ranch Dressing as a dip/sauce. Very tasty!
We have some more Sensations and other Bumblebee products to cook with in the coming weeks! Stay tuna’d!
I am participating in the Bee Squad ambassadorship program for Bumble Bee.
As part my participation in the Bumble Bee BEE SQUAD, I got some recipes along with my basket of goodies. We couldn’t wait to try this pizza…
I know! Tonight you can have not just PIZZA but gourmet, fancy tasting, “better make two or I’m going to run out” pizza!
I loved the combination of the feta, tuna, and prosciutto. A salty tang that toned down the fish taste, and worked so well with the smooth taste of the tomato!

- 2 5oz cans Bumble Bee Prime Fillet Tonno in Olive Oil, drained and flaked (we actually only used 1.5)
- Prepared Italian style Pizza Crust 12 inch round
- 8 slices (1 oz) prosciutto
- 2 medium tomatoes, sliced 1/4 inch thick
- 1 cup feta cheese crumbled
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- pinch of crushed red hot pepper flakes (optional)
Preheat oven to 450degrees. Place pizza shell on lined baking sheet and brush with olive oil. Place tuna, prosciutto, feta, and tomatoes on top. Sprinkle with mozarella. Bake for 10 minutes or until cheeses are melted.
Makes 8 slices.

If you have a favorite tuna recipe, link it here~ or detail it in the comments! I have some fun ideas, and can’t wait to share. But I’d also love to find some new tuna treats!
I have told you of my love of tuna. I was thrilled to be invited to be part of the Bumble Bee Bee Squad!

I got a box of goodies, so much tuna I had to squeeeeal. No the cat was here already, I think she’s hoping I forget the tuna is there…
Will I be bringing you TUNA AWESOMENESSES?
OH YES
Will I have to dress up in a BEE costume?
Oh, I haven’t asked. Maybe I should.
I’ll definitely have more information for you in the future, but in the meantime, you should check out the other Squad members.
