We received a set of L’il Jamz Monster DJ earbuds to review. They are a good quality headphone, and to really put them to the test, I gave them to my 16 year old daughter so she could give me her expert opinion.
I know! I have experts in the house, and they have OPINIONS, how lucky I am (shoot me now).
I decided to interview her and get her response.
Me: How do you like the new L’il Jamz Earbuds?
Marg: * kissy sounds* I like ‘em.
ME: What do you like about them?
Marg: Well it’s like when they are in it blocks the sound around you out and you can like feel the base pumping and they are really comfortable.
Me: Would you recommend them to you friends?
Marg: Yes, especially someone who travels on planes a lot.
Me: Do you have a lot of friends who travel on planes?
Marg: No, I don’t have many friends at all.
Me: Thats sad -wait, you do have tons of friends.
Marg: Kinda *snickers*
Me: OK, you are just being silly.
… thanks, so you really like these? Can I have them back now?
Marg: ABSOFREAKINLUTELYNOT
Me: OK, so we have our post.
Marg: COOL
A couple of other things that I noticed before I “gave” them up. The sound is different, and not like wearing headphones. It’s as if you are HEARING the music. The buds are small enough and don’t hurt your ears LIKE EVERY OTHER PAIR I OWN, and come with interchangeable foam covers in different sizes IN CASE YOU HAVE BIG EARS I GUESS.

Can you believe at one time we had 6 lines in this house? I can’t remember if it was wired that way or what. We had a family office, and needed 2 business, home, fax, INTERNET…wait, we used dial up?
I’d forgotten all about the olden days…
The 6th line? no idea…not sure it was hooked up. BUT it was there in case we needed it.
Now I’m fine with 2 lines.
Home and Fax. Makes life easier. But having a two line phone means that I can use that fax line as a real phone…when I need to go two fisted. Which I do…If my foot could only hold the cell phone, I’d be in business.
VTech has introduced the first DECT 6.0 2 line phone. I love the sound quality that you get with the DECT 6.0…Oh and that’s not my phone number so don’t think you can call it and chat…
…but what else does this phone have?
Wait here I’ll tell you gimme a sec.

OH HAI

Whew, that’s a mouthful. All I know, is it sounds great and works great. Isn’t that all you need to know too?
Now available exclusively at www.vtechphones.com, the VTech DS6151 will also be sold at Best Buy and OfficeMax customers in May.
Or is that a man’s hands…oh well.
Either way, there are good little cameras and then some not so good. I know, I have the junk drawer to prove it.
Casio is a brand name that does NOT end up in the junk drawer at our house. In fact the Casio cameras we have usually last until the kids drop them off the roller coaster or swim with them in the pool.
Which is ANOTHER reason I don’t like to spend a fortune on cameras. For the kids…but for me? I don’t ride roller coasters, and me in a bathing suit?
I can have any camera I want….
Ok, back to the Casio…the EX-S510 mp w/3x optical zoom….runs about $110. A great camera for kids, graduation gifts, or as a spare to carry in your bag. It’s about the size of a credit card and about 1/2 inch thick. Really portable…and I love the pictures it takes.
- 10-megapixel resolution
- 3x optical zoom; 2.7-inch widescreen LCD
- State-of-the-art Exilim Engine 4.0; Dynamic Photo function
- HD Movie function
- Capture images to SD/SDHC memory cards (not included)
It’s great at adjusting to the light in the room….
See here, the colors and the…
…wait, sit still Penny…
…Penny…can you….wait….
…um…ok, so it’s very good at taking pics of moving objects.
Looking for something small and portable? No not Penny, though she is…I mean a camera silly.
Check out the Casio EX S5.
I have some exciting news. Thanks to Mom Central I will be the proud parent of a new Frigiraire Range and Microwave.
I know, I’m on a TEAM NOW, TEAM RANGE/MICROWAVE – not JACOB, not EDWARD, but WAY COOLER because they fix food. I have yet to see those boys cook anything, right?.
I mean this is HUGEAMOUS news. And this is something that couldn’t come at a better time. Our current *notsooldandshabby* microwave stopped working right before Christmas…DINNERSSSS.
*cue the pot over the fire and bread churner*
I haven’t been without a microwave in how many years? And it’s been an adjustment. I will welcome this delivery with open arms and a microwave pizza.
The stove isn’t too bad either. I might take up cooking *chuckles*
Here are the babies.
Don’t they look wonderful? And they will be here before the end of the February. Only a few more weeks of boiling water the old fashioned way. I hear that Frigidaire is all about creating more ME TIME…I actually like both ME and TIME and will chronicle my journey with my new appliances and how they can make my life easier.
Frigidaire introduced more than 250 new appliances in 2009, all designed with the idea of creating more time for Moms. Standing behind its claim, Frigidaire offers a “More Me-Time Guarantee.” Moms will save a minimum of eight hours a month or their money back. How promising is that?
In addition, Frigidaire announced a new partnership in September with the GAWGEOUS, Jennifer Garner. The pair teamed up to launch the new Frigidaire line and to kick off the “Make Time for Change” campaign to support Save the Children.
You can log on to www.maketimeforchange.com to play Spin & Win for a chance to win prizes including a new time-saving Frigidaire Affinity washer/dryer. Plus every day you take a spin, Frigidaire donates $1 to Save the Children as part of their $250,000 commitment to this worthy cause.
So how about a big SQUEEEEEE for me and for Save the Children!
“I wrote this review while participating in a Test Drive Campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Frigidaire and received a Frigidaire Range/Microwave to facilitate my review.”
It’s dying! Ever have that happen to a computer? Me to, yesterday. I’m still trying to cope. I think it fried the charger. Life support was no longer working.
I had a back up plan…and pulled out the crash cart called the mCube lite - a small portable charger with interchangeable inputs that can be used on a wide assortment of portable devices.
Truth be told, this little device showed up at my house uninvited one day from a PR person who said…gee hope you’ll take a look. I thought OY, more stuff I have to review and put it aside.
Thank goodness I never put stuff away and keep crap laying around all the time. I was quickly able to grab it, find the right input attachment and fire up the old comp.
Paddles Please…Stand back!
I need to get the HP fixed AGAIN , I know that but I was able to keep it going long enough to get the data off and transfered to a different computer *typing on it now*. It does not work watt or volt wise (too techy speak for me) with my other computer but I’m guessing there might be ones that do. I’ll check with the Angel Pr guy who sent this to me. <3
You might want to check out the site and see what devices you own that it is compatible with. Nice little spare to keep around!
You know my Keurig love if you have read this blog at all. If you are new, then go here. I’m all about single serve coffee.
However another something has come into my life and I’m totally torn. I have the Tassimo to review. I know rough life….

Oh it’s just another brand you are saying? Think again.
What if I said Steamed Milk
Starbucks
Latte’s, Expressos and Cappacinos when you want, the way you want.
Reads the bar codes on the T-Disc so it’s prepared right every time.
So I now currently have both on my counter. My mini Keurig (gave the big one to College Girl) and the Tassimo.
Think of it this way…..
If I went to Match.com, certainly I would try a few different ones before I settled on MR. Right? So it’s not really cheating…I’m just playing the coffee field.
Tassimo Starbucks Latte one one day? Keurig’s Gloria Jeans mango tea the next morning.
And yes ladies, they do sleep over. They are there waiting for you in the a.m. when you want them. Perfect, quick, hot coffee in the perfect size cup. Not many men can say that, right?
Marry the single (serve) of your choice…
disclosure-thank you Tassimo! i am really torn and love both, if i had to decide, don’t know what i’d do. if you are buying, i’d consider how important brand is. and the steamed milk. if that’s your thing then Tassimo is the only way to go!
When you try out a steam cleaner like the Oreck Steam-It for the first time you may have a desire to drop to the ground, stick your face over the pads and get a facial. All that steam coming out, looks like a perfect facial steaming appliance.
Dude, get real we are cleaning the floors. Dogs, Cats, Feet…
Ok, so now that you are standing *that was fast* let me tell you about my Oreck Steam – It. I lurves it. Yes, I got it to review, but here’s an honest opinion. The Oreck is a simple as 1,2,3. There is a water resevoir – you pour the water in there, put a pad (comes in the kit) on it, and turn it on. Wait while it gets HAWT…
And here comes the STEAM.

It’s the Oreck Brand, a name you can trust. My floor approves….

What I LIKE:
Great at cleaning my floors. I have kitties that walk with litterbox infested feet, and I like my floor clean. You should see the rags when I take them off the cleaner. DUDE, it’s scary.
Also it sets up and heats up fast. I like that a lot.
Easy to maneuver, it’s got the spin thing going on. So the head (not yours, the Steam-It’s) can get into tight places.
What I’M NOT SO CRAZY ABOUT:
It’s a little heavier than I would like, but then it does contain a litre of water. I don’t see myself picking it up and cleaning the drapes. But then I don’t have drapes.
SOOOOOOOOO…for $179, I’d say it’s a good investment. I’ve been using mine for about a month and use it probably 3-4 times a week. It was especially great when we were tracking in the salt with the snow.
Thanks Oreck for providing this for me to review. I have the HALO Vacuum too which is awesome and 3 of the air purifiers. If you come up with anything else my house is usually a disaster, so bring it ON!

When you think about it, digital cameras haven’t been around that long. Any photos of my kids as babies, toddlers, and even into the elementary years, let alone photos of my childhood, are hard copies.
I wanted a gadget that would scan photos easily without having to stand at the printer, lift the lid…well you get the picture.
For Christmas I got the Pandigital scanner and what I love most about it is it’s size. I don’t need another huge electronic sitting around my house. This is small, portable, and out of the box easy to operate. So in between tweeting and blogging and consulting, I can slip a few photos through the scanner. Comes with a memory card that you can fill and just load on your comp with ease. Can also be connected directly to the computer.
You can adjust the size to scan smaller photos and business cards. I’m not sure what took me so long to get this!!
I have a few ideas for last minute gifts that would be perfect stocking stuffers. Having teens, I’m always looking for something unique, and of course it has to pass the “cool” factor.
I have the 4th generation nano *myself*. I recently got the idox traveller series from idox360.com. This stand is perfect for keeping your ipod upright and *keeps it from going on the floor or between the seat cushions, not that mine ends up there*.
It’s easy…you slide it in and it stands up on your table or car console. Easy at that point to attach to your speakers.
I know, cute huh?
I also tried a few cool gadgets from DLO. For my nano, and this action clip makes it easy to attach to my handbag or pocket. *for when I’m running around ignoring everyone but my music*…not that I’m rude or anything.

We love this charger. Makes it easy to keep those iPods and iPhones going.

- Portable power pack securely suctions to the back of your iPod or iPhone
- Doubles the battery capacity and fully recharges the iPod or iPhone
- Includes mini-USB sync and charge cables
Check out the DLO site or Best Buy for more fun products for your nano, iPod touch or iPhone including bands and covers
